Why Maddie Makes Me Laugh

Madeline always says the funniest things, and I never write them down. So, now I am trying to do that more. Tonight at dinner she was talking to me about her birthday, and she told me to write down her birthday list-to give to Santa. (This is definitely a confusing discrimination for a child whose birthday is 2 days before Christmas!) So, I thought I'd share:
1. Teddy Bear (pretty normal)
2. New Sheets ("like for your bed?") answer: "Yes! Because I really need them real bad!" (what? You're three!)
3. A new princess-queen sippy cup with crowns, dresses and kitty cats (ok????)
4. New dress-clothes (ok, we're getting normal again)
Now for my favorite:
5. and i quote: "A new house, because our house doesn't have my favorite colors in it-purple, pink, and white" (What was I thinking, not painting my kitchen barbie-pink?!)
and finally:
6. New Homework (how much longer will she beg for homework?)

Just picture her telling me all this as seriously as she can possibly be, it was priceless!

Rocky's Birthday

Here are some pictures from this weekend. Rocky's birthday was on Friday and I surprised him by taking him to a Cowboys preseason game with some good friends of ours. We had such a good time, and we won! Then, on Saturday, we had a family dinner at Rocky's parents house.
